Site Plan Permit

A site plan is required for all new commercial, residential, industrial, churches, off street parking lots, exterior additions to existing public, commercial or industrial buildings. Site Plans are reviewed by the Town Planner/Zoning Administrator, Public Works Department, and outside agencies.

Any site plan that also requires a Conditional Use Permit will require public hearings and review by the Planning Commission, and the Town Council.

Site plans submittals must be received at least 45 days in advance to a scheduled Planning Commission meeting.

Prior to submitting any application, we recommend scheduling a meeting with Jatinder Khokhar, the Town Planner/Zoning Administrator at 703-221-3400, ext. 146 or jkhokhar@dumfriesva.gov to discuss the project to go over the process and identify and to address any issues that may arise during the process.
