  The Town Council of the Town of Dumfries hereby gives notice of a public hearing on proposed amendment of Dumfries Town Code, Part II Code of Ordinances, Chapter II, Article III, Division II, Section 2-83, section b, by adding subsection 19 as follows:   (19) Town Manager Designation. In the event that the Town Manager is unable to perform his duties in accordance with the provisions of the Dumfries Town Code and/or his written employment contract due to absence, illness or disability as determined by the Town Manager or the Town Council, the Town Manager shall designate a qualified individual to be the chief administrative officer of the Town to serve and perform as the Town Manager on a temporary basis notwithstanding other provisions of this title."   All supporting material is available for public inspection at the Office of the Town Clerk at 17755 Main Street, Dumfries, Virginia 22026 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The public hearing is being held in a public facility believed to be accessible to persons with disabilities.
