NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE
Proposed Adoption of an Ordinance to authorize participation by the Town of Dumfries in the VML/VACo Virginia Investment Pool Trust Fund for the Purpose of Investing Moneys belonging to or within
the Control of the town of dumfries, other than Sinking Funds, in certain Authorized Investments in accordance with Section 2.2-4501 of the Virginia Code
The Town Council for the Town of Dumfries, Virginia, will hold a Public Hearing on October 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, Town of Dumfries, John Wilmer Porter Building, 17755 Main Street, Dumfries, Virginia 22026, in order to receive public comments and to consider the adoption of an Ordinance to authorize participation by the Town of Dumfries in the VML/VACo Virginia Investment Pool Trust Fund for the purpose of investing moneys in certain authorized investments in accordance with Section 2.2-4501 of the Virginia Code (hereinafter the “Ordinance”).
If adopted by Town Council the Ordinance will approve an agreement between VML/VACo Investment Pool Trust Fund and the Town of Dumfries (hereinafter the “Town”) to: 1) establish a trust pursuant to Section 2.2-4501 of the Virginia Code for the purpose of investing moneys; 2) agree to become a “Participating Political Subdivision” in the “VML/VACo Virginia Investment Pool”; and 3) designate the Town Manager or Town Treasurer of the Town of Dumfries to serve as the trustee of the Town with respect to the Trust Fund and to determine what funds under the Town’s control shall be invested in the Trust Fund; and 4) authorize the Town Manager to execute and deliver the Trust Joinder Agreement for Participating Political Subdivisions.
