The Town of Dumfries’ procurement process operates under the direction and supervision of the Town Manager. Procurement, as part of the Department of Finance, is responsible for the acquisition of all goods and services, including professional services and construction, for Town of Dumfries operations. 
Contracts are awarded through competitive solicitation using fair and open procurement policies in compliance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA).
